Caps reportedly set to name Rennie as next head coach

[MLS] Carolina Railhawks head coach Martin Rennie will take over in that capacity with MLS's Vancouver Whitecaps next
season, according to the Vancouver Sun.
A Tuesday press conference has been announced by the team to be attended by chief executive officer Paul
Barber, president Bob Lenarduzzi and director of soccer operations Tom Soehn, who has been serving as interim
head coach since Teitur Thordarson was dismissed May 30.
The Scottish-born Rennie, 36, led Carolina to the USSF D-2 NASL Conference title last year
and has compiled a record of 38-23-20 since taking over in 2009.
The RailHawks currently lead the NASL standings at 14-3-2.
Rennie was reportedly among the finalists for the
head coaching job of the Montreal Impact, which joins MLS next season.
The Impact is expected to make an announcement on Wednesday. The leading choice is believed to be Jesse Marsch, a member of former U.S. national team coach Bob Bradley's coaching staff.
