Orlando City heads playoff field

[USL PRO] The first-year USL PRO begins its first playoffs Friday with three quarterfinal games. Regular-season champion Orlando City hosts the Charleston Battery in the fourth game on Saturday.

Wilmington (14-7-3, 45 points) vs. Richmond (12-7-5, 41 points).
The Hammerheads have yet to beat Richmond this season, dropping a 2-0 decision in their latest meeting a week ago. Richmond opened the season with a six-game winning streak but has only gone 6-7-5 since then.

Harrisburg (10-7-7, 37 points) vs. Los Angeles (8-7-9, 33 points).
The City Islanders are the second-highest scoring team in USL PRO. Jose Angulo (9 goals), Andrew Welker (8) and Sainey Touray (7) lead the City Islanders' attack. Slumping Los Angeles went 0-3-3 over the last four weeks and dropped to third in the National Division, losing home-field advantage in the quarterfinals.

Rochester (12-8-4, 40 points) vs. Pittsburgh (7-11-6, 27 points).
The Rhinos dominated the season series, winning all three games. Goalkeeper Neal Kitson had shutouts in each game. Kendall Jagdeosingh and Andrew Hoxie lead Rochester with five goals each. Jeremy Deighton has six goals and Jason Yeisley, who spent last year with MLS's FC Dallas, has five goals for the Riverhounds.

Orlando City (15-3-6, 51 points) vs. Charleston (10-9-5, 35 points).
Orlando City won both meetings with the Battery at the Citrus Bowl (2-1 and 1-0). Maxwell Griffin and Jamie Watson lead Orlando with nine and eight goals, respectively. The Battery needed a 4-3 victory against the Charlotte Eagles on Friday night to clinch the final berth in the playoffs.
