Cardinals win sedate re-match

[LOUISVILLE-UCLA] Louisville and UCLA didn't produce the fireworks they did when they met in last year's NCAA Tournament. But the top-ranked Cardinals again sent their fans home happy as they beat the No. 2 Bruins, 2-0, in front of a record crowd of 7,821 at Cardinal Park.

The first half was a defensive battle, and the only goal was on own goal scored when Kenney Walker shot the ball inside the box and UCLA's Ryan Hollingshead headed the ball past the keeper for the o wn goal.

Senior All-American Colin Rolfe scored a minute and a half into the second half when Walker served him the ball 20 yards out and he chipped the ball over the UCLA keeper Brian Rowe for the goal.

Louisville beat UCLA 5-4, in the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA Tournament. When the NCAA moved back the start of the men's season one week, Louisville invited UCLA to return to Kentucky for a re-match.

How many former State Players of the Year (from their home states) does Louisville have? It appears that they have several

I am a huge Ken Lolla fan - he was awesome as a player and now as one of the top coaches in America - I will always send my players to his programs.
