Pedro Mauricio Munoz, Ecuador’s national team director, confirmed that his national team would play in the USA in a friendly on Oct. 11 in Connecticut.
The USA has no games scheduled after its upcoming matches against Costa Rica and Belgium. Ecuador will open World Cup 2014 qualifying on Oct. 8 against Venezuela in Quito but is off on Oct. 11,the second FIFA fixture date of October.
The USA last played in Connecticut in May 2010 when it faces the Czech Republic at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. It also played at the40,000-seat stadium in 2005 and 2006.
