[NORTH CAROLINA-LOUISVILLE] Rob Lovejoy and Billy Schuler each scored in thethird straight game of the season to give No. 2 North Carolina a 2-1 comeback win over No. 1 Louisville Sunday night at Fetzer Field. The victory was revenge for the Cardinals’ victory over the TarHeels in the 2010 NCAA Division I semifinals.

The Heels trailed on Nick DeLeon‘s 34th minute but they equalized only four minutes later.

Carlos McCrary eluded a defender and found Lovejoy in the middle of the attacking third. Lovejoy settled the ball, worked his way around a pair of defendersand scored on a low drive.

Lovejoy helped set up the winner, finding Enzo Martinez just outside the right corner of the 18-yard box. TheUruguayan-born star dropped a perfect pass to a cutting Schuler, who blasted the ball past Louisville keeper Andre Boudreaux for the game winner.

The backline of freshmen Jordan McCrary and Boyd Okwuonu, transfer Matt Hedgesand junior Jordan Gafa then thwarted several Louisville chances to help out goalie Scott Goodwin.
