Some prominent names in soccer are lining up to take shots at Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez, whose refusal to play as a substitute Tuesday against Bayern Munich has triggered yetanother controversy centered on the testy Argentine forward.

Ex-Scottish international Graeme Souness said to Sky Sports 2, “He is one bad apple. He can undo all the goodwork that has been done [at City]. He’s a disgrace to football. He epitomizes what most people think is wrong with modern football.

“It is totally unacceptable. He’s a football player andhe is paid to play. He is refusing to help his teammates. It’s all about him, him, him.”
