Regular-season champion RailHawks face tough test

[NASL] The Carolina RailHawks won the NASL regular-season championship, but they face a tough test in the semifinals when they meet the No. 6 seed NSC Minnesota Stars, whom they didn't beat in four games. In the other semifinal series, the Puerto Rico Islanders face the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers. Action begins with first legs Saturday in Minnesota and Puerto Rico.

Minnesota won twice -- once at NSC Stadium and once at the RailHawks' WakeMed Soccer Park -- and tied its other two meetings with the RailHawks.

The Islanders and Strikers split their four games. Each team won once at home and the other two games ended in ties.
