About the only negative of Real Salt Lake's impressive 3-0 rout of Seattle Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium were the injuries suffered by the center back pairing of Jamison
Olave and Nat Borchers. RSL held the Sounders without a shot on target and with a pair of goals by Alvaro Saborio and one by Ned Grabavoy
wiped away the stigma of a six-game winless streak to finish the regular season.
"Yeah, I was very, very pleased," said Coach Jason Kreis. "For me that was a complete
match, and we haven’t had a complete match of good soccer and good focus and the requisite commitment for a very long time."
The status of Borchers and Olave for the second game in
Seattle Wednesday isn't yet known. Chris Schuler replaced Olave before halftime yet RSL maintained its tight hold on the Sounders' attack.
"Let’s credit Chris
Schuler," RSL defender Chris Wingert said. "Guys like him don’t get enough credit."
