No. 1 Lobos remain unbeaten

[NEW MEXICO-UNLV] No. 1 New Mexico finished the regular season with its 12th straight win, a 3-0 victory over UNLV, before 5,284 fans. The Lobos improved their record to 16-0-2, becoming the first UNM team to finish the regular season unbeaten in 84 years.

Seniors Lance Rozeboom and Michael Green both notched penalty kicks to open up a 2-0 lead.

New Mexico finished out the scoring in the 81st minute when Lawrence Robledo scored on a rebound after shot a taken by Adrian Mora Delgado was blocked.

The UNLV had two players sent off for two red cards in the second half alone.

New Mexico moves on to the MPSF Tournament, which begins Thursday in Denver.
