William Carey knocks off host Mobile

[NAIA] No. 4 seed Mobile, the host team, fell to No. 13 William Carey, 3-0, in the second round at the NAIA Men's National Championship at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. The top three seeds, including No. 1 seed and defending champion Hastings, all survived in the first day of action.

William Carey won on goals by Frenchman Francois Navarro, Tyler Szura and Brazilian Matheus Saroli.

Dru Kobs notched the game-winner in the 81st minute as Hastings beat Saint Xavier. No. 2 Lindsey Wilson used a goal in each half to take a 2-0 victory over No. 15 Hannibal-LaGrange. In the only overtime match of the day, No. 4 Baker outlasted Huston-Tillotson, 1-0, on Nate Byarlay's goal.
