Statue unveiling moves Henry to tears

To celebrate the 125th year of Arsenal Football Club, three statues were unveiled outside the Emirates Stadium, and the emotion of the occasion deeply affected Thierry Henry.

He broke down in tears after a statue of himself was unveiled, along with those of former manager Herbert Chapman and England ex-international Tony Adams.

Henry's 236 goals for Arsenal, amassed in just eight seasons, is a club record. Chapman coached Arsenal to a pair of league titles in the 1930s and Adams anchored the Gunners back line from 1983 to 2002, making more than 500 appearances.

Henry said: "I know I don't show emotions often – some of the time some of the press used to kill me for not showing emotion but there you go I'm showing emotion right now. I just wanted to say thanks to my family for being here, my best friends also, my daughter, my mum."
