[MLS TRANSACTIONS] The Portland Timbers completed the signing of 19-year-old Jose Adolfo Valencia, the son of former Colombian great Adolfo "El Tren" Valencia," as MLS's first young Designated Player.  The Vancouver Whitecaps won the weighted lottery for U.S. international midfielder Lee Nguyen, the 25-year-old Vietnamese-American out of Dallas who has spent time in the Netherlands, Denmark and Vietnam.
