Italian Serie A coaching casualties

[MAKING A LIST] Italian clubs don't mess around. Nine Serie A coaches have been fired or resigned under pressure since August. Devis Mangia's firing at Palermo on Monday came only three months after it dumped Stefano Pioli without coaching a single league match.

Like Palermo, Cagliari is on its third coach of the 2011-12 season, firing MetroStars star Roberto Donadoni in preseason and Massimo Ficcadenti after 10 games.

SERIE A COACHING CHANGES (2011-12):
August
Roberto Donadoni (Cagliari). Former MetroStars star fell out with club president Massimo Cellino.
September
Stefano Pioli (Palermo). Fired before even coaching one Serie A game and replaced by youth team coach Devis Mangia.
Gian Piero Gasperini (Inter Milan). Fired by Inter president president Massimo Moratti after only four games.
October
Pierpaolo Bisoli (Bologna). Fired after only five Serie A games, seven less than he lasted at Cagliari last fall.
Marco Giampaolo (Cesena). Fired after no wins and only three points in nine games.
November
Sinisa Mihajlovic (Fiorentina). Stepped down in early November with Fiorentina in 13th place with only 12 points in 10 games.
Massimo Ficcadenti (Cagliari). Fired with Cagliari in 10th place, becoming its second coaching casualty of the season.
December
Eusebio Di Francesco (Lecce). Fired after three straight losses dropped Lecce into last place.
Devis Mangia (Palermo). Fired on Monday, a day after the 2-0 loss at Catania in Sicilian derby dropped Palermo to 10th place with only one win in its last five games.
