Breaking down the U.S. U-23 lineup

Fox Soccer's Ives Galarcep takes a look who's been looking good and who hasn't at the U.S. under-23 player camp in Florida, the first under Coach Caleb Porter. Some evaluations based on the early days of the camp:

Joe Gyau, who plays at Hoffenheim II, the German club's under-23 team, has been arguably the most impressive player in the camp from his winger position. Terrance Boyd, who had an excellent fall at German champion Borussia Dortmund's reserve team, looks like the class of the forwards.

Many of the MLS players are coming off the Generation adidas tour of the Netherlands, so they're fit. Sporting Kansas City's Teal Bunbury, who has been capped on the senior national team, should be considered one of the top under-23 forwards but he has looked rusty after missing the November under-23 camp and GA tour.

The U-23s are deep in central midfielders, including emerging talent Dilly Duka (Columbus Crew) and Sebastian Lletget (West Ham United). One of the better players has been the improving Bryan Arguez, who also is getting playing time at center back, a position at which there is not the same depth. Arguez bounced around Europe for a while, but after a strong season in the NASL with the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, he was picked up by the Montreal Impact.
