[U.S. UNDER-23 MEN] Isaac Acuna, who has played for Mexico's U-22 national team, and Josh Gatt, who helped Molde win its first Norwegian title, are among the players called up by Coach Caleb Porter for a two-part U.S. under-23
national team training camp Jan. 8-25 in Carson, Calif., and San Jose, Costa Rica.
The U-23s will conduct the first 11 days of camp training at the Home Depot Center, before traveling on Jan. 18 to Costa Rica, where they will play two matches against local club teams.
The U-23s are preparing for the 2012 Concacaf Olympic Qualifying Tournament in March.
Porter's roster includes 18 players who were named to the December training session in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Other additions from the last camp in December are Tony Taylor of Portuguese second division Atletico and UCLA sophomore midfielder Kelyn Rowe, who recently earned a contract with Major League Soccer.
