Keane heads to Aston Villa on loan

[ENGLAND] Robbie Keane became the latest MLS star to accept a short-team loan deal, joining Aston Villa on Thursday from the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The two-month loan begins what will be a busy year for Keane. He'll captain Ireland at Euro 2012.

"I'm delighted to be back in the Premier League," the 31-year-old Keane said. "This is only short-term."

Landon Donovan, Keane's Galaxy teammate, returned to Everton, while New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry scored the winning goal for Arsenal in its 1-0 FA Cup victory over Leeds, his first match back with the Gunners.

"Can I do a Thierry Henry? I hope so," said Keane. "It would be great to do that. It was written that he was always going to come back and score on his return to Arsenal. Good luck to him. He is obviously a legend at Arsenal. If I can do something like that in the six [league[ games, and help the team, that is great."
