Woitalla cited in NSCAA Writing Contest

[AWARDS] Soccer America executive editor Mike Woitalla was recognized with having the best column in the 2011 NSCAA Writing Contest. It was his fourth award for best column and eighth overall.

Woitalla's winning column appeared in Soccer America's Youth Soccer Insider: "If MLS wants kids to watch ..."

Michael Lewis, a New York-based reporter who currently writes for TropiGol.com, picked up two awards for the second time and his ninth and 10th since the contest began in 1995.

The other two winners were repeat winners: Chris Miller of the Jacksonville (N.C.) Daily News won in the Feature category for the second consecutive year, while Jeff Kassouf did the same in the
Student category, writing for EqualizerSoccer.com.
