Seattle striker suffers 'punctured leg'

Joshua Mayers reports that Seattle Sounders striker Mike Fucito was forced to leave Monday's training game against Vancouver in the 29th minute after a tackle from Vancouver Whitecaps defender Martin Bonjour left him with a "punctured leg."

Seattle coach Sigi Schmid said the forward has "stud marks on his knee and up his thigh."

Fucito told SoundersFC.com's Matt Gaschk that it was the worst he's ever been fouled, and that includes a face-busting elbow he received from FC Dallas' Daniel Hernandez in last year's U.S. Open Cup.
