Estrella Foothill and Catalina Foothills keep Arizona streaks alive

[HIGH SCHOOL] Estrella Foothills (Division III) won its fourth straight state title, while Catalina Foothills (Division II) made it three in a row at the Arizona girls state championship. Highland won the Division I championship.

Estrella Foothills needed overtime to take out top seed Palo Verde, 3-2, on Kelsie Roberts' second goal of the game. Roberts, who finished the season with 47 goals, had scored an own goal late in the second half to even the score at 2-2.

Emily Green and Jenna Glad scored for Catalina Foothills, which has won six state titles in the last eight years.

Ashley March made two saves to give Highland a shootout win over Hamilton Chandler (4-2) after the game ended 1-1.
