Texans and Rush teams enjoy sweeps

UNDER-18. The Dallas Texans took over first place in the Under-17 National Flight A with wins over Sockers FC (3-0), PDA (2-0) and the CASL Chelsea Ladies (2-1). They got MVP performances from Antoinette Bennett, Lindsey Meyer and Kelsey Shimmick. Albertson Fury, which was perfect going into the weekend, dropped to fifth place after going 1-1-1.

UNDER-17. The Dallas Texans and CASL Chelsea Ladies remained in striking distance of the leaders in the Under-17 National Flight A with strong weekends. The Texans swept Charlotte Soccer Academy (2-0), FC Virginia SC (3-2) and Crossfire (5-0), while CASL recovered from a 2-1 loss to Carmel United to beat Sting (1-0) and the Michigan Hawks (2-0).

UNDER-16. First-place Ohio Elite Soccer Academy was idle, as were Mustang SC, So Cal Blues and Slammers FC, who all moved up one spot to 2-3-4 in the U-16 National Flight A Standings. The big winner was Lonestar, which moved up to fifth place with a sweep of St. Louis Scott Gallagher (2-0), Charlotte Soccer Academy (4-0) and Bethesda SC (4-0).
