Gomez outduels Beasley

[AMERICANS ABROAD] DaMarcus Beasley put Puebla ahead in the first half, but 2010 U.S. World Cup teammate Herculez Gomez responded with two goals in the second half -- the first a golazo -- to give Santos a 3-1 win in Mexico's Torneo Clausura on Saturday. The two goals give Gomez four goals in three games this week -- his first three starts since moving to Torreon in January.

Beasley scored his second goal of the Torneo Apertura in the 43rd minute, but Gomez tied the score in the 48th minute with a volley from a sharp angle. Oribe Peralta put Santos ahead in the 71st minute, and Gomez added an insurance goal in the 90th minute

Gomez has 11 league goals in 2011-12, while Beasley has four.
