Ten days after midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed during an FA Cup match between his Bolton team and Tottenham Hotspur, the teams will replay the quarterfinal Tuesday with Muambarecovering yet still in serious condition.

Bolton coach Owen Coyle said Monday Muamba was continuing to improve, and said the player watched highlights of Bolton’s2-1 Premier League win over Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

“He was able to watch Match of the Day on TV on Sunday morning and if there is any humor in that, I’m told he fellasleep when the score was still 2-0,” Coyle said.
Muamba, 23, remains in the intensive care ward of the London Chest Hospital. He collapsed shortly before halftime of the March 17 matchwith the score 1-1.  The game was abandoned after he was rushed to the hospital. The incident prompted messages of support from players, coaches, executives and fans throughout the country andaround the world.

The match shirts worn by both teams on Tuesday will be signed and auctioned with proceeds going to various medical institutions.
