Concacaf Champions League this week ...

[SCOREBOARD] American Herculez Gomez did it again, scoring his eighth goal in the last six games, to earn 10-man Santos of Mexico a 1-1 tie in the first leg of their Concacaf Champions League semifinal before 18,950 fans at BMO Field. Gomez put Santos ahead 1-0 in the 30th minute but TFC equalized seven minutes later on Miguel Aceval's twice-taken free kick. Osmar Mares was sent off in the 77th minute, and Carlos Darwin Quintero was red carded after the final whistle during a bench-clearing fight. Humberto Suazo, who scored four goals in Monterrey's two quarterfinal wins, set up all three goals to lead defending champion Monterrey to a 3-0 win over UNAM Wednesday night in the first leg of their Concacaf Champions League semifinal.
