[OLYMPIC QUALIFYING] Mexico got goals from Marco Fabian, Alan Pulido andAmerican-born midfielder Miguel Angel Ponce to defeat Canada, 3-1, and return to the Olympic men’s tournament it missed out on four years ago. In the semifinalmatch at the Olympic qualifying tournament, Honduras beat El Salvador, 3-2, in overtime. The hero for the Catrachos was Gerson Rodas with two overtime goals,the second set up by D.C. United’s Andy Najar.
