[MONDIAL MINIMES] The U.S. under-17 national team opened play at the 40th Mondial Minimes tournament in France with a 4-0 win against United Arab Emirates
thanks to goals from Ahinga Selemani, Tyler Turner, Wesley Wade and Bradford Jamieson.
The is the U-17s' first big test since Richie Williams took over as head coach.
Three players who joined the residency program this winter -- Tommy Redding, Cameron Lindley and Selemani -- are among
the 18 players selected for the trip.
Mondial Minimes is a 12-team tournament that features four groups of three teams each.
The USA next faces Portugal on Thursday
