Jair Benitez (FC Dallas), suspended for one game and fined for elbow that endangered the safety of Danny Cruz in the 71st minute of Friday's match against D.C. United.
 
Danny Cruz (D.C. United), fined for his embellishment that brought the game into disrepute on the same play.



Brandon McDonald (D.C. United), suspended for one game and fined for his reckless tackle (yellow card issued) that endangered the safety of Blas Perez in the 20th minute of the game against FC Dallas.



Atiba Harris (Vancouver), suspended for one game and fined for elbow to Carlos Pajoy (yellow card issued) in the 65th minute of the Whitecaps' match against Philadelphia.

    I see two immediate red cards and the Brian McDonald elbow in the first video could go either way.

    2 tackles from behind and the third video a nice little elbow for dessert.

    Glad to see that they are policing the sport. It has outgrown 1 man in the middle of 22 supreme athletes at speed making calls. Yes he has two sides helping him, but they cannot keep up with a ball traveling 60 mph. Other sports have several referee's, including a basketball court which is considerably smaller than a soccer pitch. Look at the recent missed goals in the Juventus games. If you watch the latest one, the side ref. is 20 yards back down the line and running hard to catch up, no way can he see the goal line. "You cannot outrun the ball."
