[WEEKLY HONORS] Orlando City forward John Rooney, who scored a pair of goals and added an assist to lead Orlando City to
a 4-1 victory over the Wilmington Hammerheads, was named the USL PRO Player of the Week. Puerto Rico's Jonathan Fana and Richard Martin took NASL Player of the Week honors.
Teammates Rob Valentino and Kevin Molino
joined Rooney, brother of England star Wayne Rooney, on the Team of the Week.
Fana, a Dominican Republic international, scored two goals and
contributed to the build-up play for one additional goal in the 4-0 victory over the San Antonio Scorpions.
In his first season as a starter for the Islanders, the 24-year-old Martin, who
was once on the Manchester City roster, posted his second consecutive shutout, making seven saves against the Scorpions, including a spectacular save on a penalty kick by Pablo Campos.
