Italian-American striker Giuseppe Rossi's latest injury is more serious than first though. He will have two surgical procedures on the damaged ligament in
his right knee that will sideline him for another 10 months.
"With the objective that Giuseppe Rossi returns to his best physical condition," Spanish club Villarreal said in a statement,
"the most secure procedure consists in two operations."
Rossi's first operation took place on Friday, and he will be operated on again in four months.
Rossi tore the ligament
in the same knee in October. He was injured again in training on April 13.
