Opponents load up on U.S. products

[CONCACAF UNDER-17 CHAMPIONSHIP] If you can't beat them, join them. That should be the motto of the U.S. opposition at the Concacaf Under-17 Championship that
has loaded up on American talent. Mexico called up no less than 11 Americans, including North Carolina recruit Jenny Chiu, who spent time with the U.S. U-17
national team, and Cynthia Pineda, whose brother, Victor, plays for the U.S. U-18 national team and is in his second
season with the Chicago Fire.
Mexico's roster includes defenders Celina Montano (Beach FC), Natalie Rivas
(Real So Cal), Jessica Valdez (Eagles), midfielders Taylor Alvarado
(Eagles), Hallie Hernandez (So Cal Blues), Cynthia Pineda (Chicago Fire Juniors) and Vivia Vega (Arsenal FC) and forwards Luz Duarte (Tucson Mountain Lady Jaguars), Jessica Morales (San Diego
Surf) and Cassandra Reyes (Legends FC) and Chiu (El Paso Galaxy).
Canada, which opened with a 6-0 win over Panama, brought Taylor Bucklin (Connecticut FC) and Lindsay Agnew (Ohio Premier Eagles) to Guatemala.
The hosts recruited Luz Gramajo, who attends Lynwood (Calif.) High School.
