Own goal sends U.S. U-18s to defeat

[LISBON INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT] The USA closed out play at the Lisbon International Tournament with a 1-0 loss to host Portugal.

An own goal by Ben Spencer in stoppage sent the Americans to their only loss in their games. They had tied Poland (1-1) and Slovakia (0-0).

Spencer had scored the goal for the USA against Poland, striking on a volley on a ball played into the penalty area by Alejandro Guido and flicked on by Jack McBean.

The USA dominated Slovakia's U-19s with a 15-5 edge in shots but could not score despite playing the last half hour with a man advantage.

Really? We managed to score one goal in 3 games? Attack seems a bit anemic doesn't it?
Poland? Slovakia? Not power houses in the world of football. How come we couldn't out score such weak opponents?
