Season-high crowd for Chicago

[MLS ATTENDANCE] After just two games in two weeks, MLS was back in swing in Week 15 with nine games, including Montreal's first at its renovated Saputo Stadium. Despite the Euro 2012 distraction, the weekend's MLS games' average exceeded 18,000. For MLS team attendance rankings ...

* Chicago drew a season-high 18,526 for its 3-1 win over New York on Sunday.

* Montreal's first MLS game at renovated Saputo Stadium, a 4-1 win over Seattle, drew 17,112 -- 15 percent short of capacity.

* Houston's fourth game at its new BBVA Compass Stadium, a 2-1 win over FC Dallas, was a fourth straight sellout (22,039).

* Philly and Kansas City also announced sellouts.

* New England, for its scoreless tie with Columbus, drew Week 15's smallest crowd: 12,218.

* The league-wide attendance after 131 games is 18,517, an increase of 6.3 percent from last year's average of 17,425 after Week 15.

    "Despite the Euro 2012 distraction"? Too funny,rather more like the main show to watch rather than a mere distraction. Euro has been very entertaining so far with being able to watch some of the best players in the world in action.
