* Chris Wondolowski scored in San Jose's 2-1 wins over Colorado on Wednesday and Real Salt Lake on Saturday to give him a league leading
13 goals.
* Wondo won the Golden Boot in 2010 with 18 strikes. Last season he finished tied on 16 goals with D.C. United's Dwayne De Rosorio, who won the Golden Boot on the assist
tiebreaker, having set up 12 goals to Wondolowski's three assists. De Rosario has five goals and nine assists so far this season.
* Will Bruin scored once in Houston's 4-2
loss to Montreal and twice in Wednesday's 3-3 tie with Toronto, giving him four goals in his last three games. With nine goals, Bruin, who scored five in his rookie season of 2011, is tied for third
with New York's Thierry Henry, the Frenchman who hasn't hit the net since April
* D.C. United's Chris Pontius scored twice in Sunday's 3-2 loss to New York
