[W-LEAGUE] The Pali Blues' perfect record was snapped as they were held to a 0-0 tie by the Vancouver Whitecaps. The draw left the Blues at 9-0-1. The D.C. United Women had a league-high 11-game winning streak dating back to last season broken when they played to a 1-1 tie with the Virginia Beach Piranhas. The only other unbeaten team is the Atlanta Silverbacks with a 7-0-2 record.

-- The Caps extended their unbeaten streak to five games after opening the season with three straight defeats. The game drew a crowd of 755 fans at Kinsmen Stadium in North Vancouver.

-- The Piranhas took an early lead on a goal by Jamie Clarke, but D.C. was able to get back on even terms in the 20th minute on Mikaela Howell's seventh goal of the season. Howell leads the W-League in points with 21 in eight games.

-- Sydney Leroux scored two goals, Alex Morgan had a goal and an assist, Megan Rapinoe dished out two assists, and Hope Solo recorded a shutout as they helped the Seattle Sounders Women beat the Santa Clarita Blue Heat, 4-0, in front of a sellout crowd of 4,500.
