Has the MLS winning streak with expansion teams been snapped? The Montreal Impact was second in MLS with average of 28,296 spectators per game at Olympic Stadium while waiting for Stade Saputo tobe ready.

But since moving back into the 20,341-seat stadium, the Impact’s support has been underwhelming. It drew just 17,112 for the opener against Seattle on June 16 and its mostrecent game against Toronto FC attracted only 14,412.

Poor season-ticket sales have put the Impact behind the eight ball, needing to push single-ticket sales to boost attendance.

“Our objectives are higher than what we are experiencing at the moment,” said Impact executive vice president Richard Legendre. “We areaware that work remains to be done, and we are not looking at the market as acquired. The positive perception of the club and MLS must transform into ticket sales.”
