[ROAD TO ROCK HILL] Bethesda was the only club to take two boys titles at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Championships held at the Classics Park in Lancaster,
Pa., winning the under-14 and under-13 age groups.
The U-14 Bethesda Lions defeated FSA FC Navy, 2-0, to earn their second straight regional crown and book their trip to the National
Championships. Daniel Tshiani put Bethesda ahead just seven minutes into the game, and Phillip Grossman added a
second-half insurance goal.
Bethesda Blue came back from two goals down in the first 12 minutes to beat the West Chester United Predators, 4-3, in the U-13 final. Aiden McFadden and Frank DeRosa put the Predators ahead, but Bethesda responded with four unanswered from Daniel Hart, David Eijbergen, Thomas Hansan and John
McCune.
