[AZERBAIJAN ’12] Coach Albertin Montoya has named the 21 players who will represent the United States at the 2012 FIFAUnder-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan Sept. 22-Oct. 13. The team is led by by North Carolina freshman Summer Green, who set a U.S. record for most goalsscored in a Concacaf qualifying tournament at any level when she amassed 12 in just five games to help the USA win the regional title in Guatemala. The Americans will be without their youngest player,midfield workhorse Sarah Robinson of Montoya’s MVLA Lightning, who is out with what was described as a “medical issue.”
