[AWARDS] Dzsenifer Marozsan, Germany’s Hungarian-born midfield dynamo, captured the adidas Golden Ball as the top playerat the Under-20 Women’s World Cup. She finished ahead of Japan’s Hanae Shibata and U.S. captain Julie Johnston in votingfor the top player.

Marozsan scored only one goal but had six assists to lead Germany to five straight wins before its 1-0 loss to the United States in the final.

Theyoungest player to ever play in the Frauen-Bundesliga at 14, Marozsan played on Germany’s 2010 Under-20 Women’s World Cup championship team but missed the 2011 Women’s World Cup with a knee injurysuffered a month before the finals.

She now plays for FFC Frankfurt and works for the German soccer federation as an administrative assistant intern.
