Horan scores in pro debut

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Lindsey Horan, who passed on a full ride at North Carolina to sign with Paris St. Germain, scored in her pro debut in its 5-0 win over St. Etienne in Ligue 1 action. Horan, 18, had been sidelined with a knee injury, forcing her to miss the Under-20 World Women's Cup, where she was expected to be one of the U.S. women's stars. For on U.S. women abroad ...

GERMANY. Ali Krieger, who missed the 2010 Olympics with a knee injury suffered in qualifying, is back in action for German club FFC Frankfurt, where she has played since the 2009-10 season. She started in its 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

-- Sarah Hagen, one of three Americans starting for Bayern Munich, scored on a penalty kick in its 4-0 win over Jena. Also starting for Bayern was Gina Lewandowski, acquired from FFC Frankfurt over the summer, and Niki Cross.

-- In her second season at Freiburg, Chioma Igwe scored its first goal in its 4-1 win over Guetersloh. Also starting for Freiburg were first-year players Katherine Reynolds and Jenista Clark.

-- Alyssa Naeher and Alex Singer started for Turbine Potsdam in its 4-0 win at Duisburg.

SWEDEN. Americans Christen Press and Yael Averbuch scored in FC Gothenburg's 3-0 win over Kristianstad, its fourth straight win. Press has 15 goals in 16 games. FC Gothenburg is now tied for third in the Damallsvenskan.
