German national team forward Miroslav Klose's confession that he used his hand when scoring a goal for Lazio won praise from many quarters on Thursday.
FIFA President
Sepp Blatter tweeted, "Bravo Miro Klose for your gesture last night! Just shows that you can be both a great and
fair player at the same ..."
Klose scored with his hand in Wednesday's Serie A match at Napoli but after first celebrating with his teammates informed the referee of his deed and the goal
was disallowed. Lazio went on to lose, 3-0.
Said Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic, “Klose demonstrated that he is a true man." Inter Milan
midfielder Esteban Cambiasso said Klose's gesture should be honored. "It is an example for all children to follow," he said.
