[MARBELLA CUP]  Three collegians — Santa Clara goalie, Kendall McIntosh, North Carolina defender Boyd Okwuonu and UCLA defender Javan Torre — started for the U.S. under-20 national team in its 2-0 win over Scotland’sunder-21 national team that earned it a split in its first two games at the 2012 Marbella Cup in Spain. The U.S. U-20s fell to Canada’s U-20s, 2-1, in their opener.

Creighton’s Eric Miller, North Carolina’s Mikey Lopez and Furman’s Walker Zimmerman came off thebench.

Except for the backup keepers, both high school seniors, the rest of Tab Ramos‘ squad consists of pros, many of them already with first-teamexperience.

Los Angeles Galaxy forward Jose Villarreal scored twice in a nine-minute span in the first half to lead the U.S. U-20s pastScotland.
