Minnesota vs. Tampa Bay: youth vs. age

[NASL: Final] Only one win in their last 12 regular-season games was still good enough to get the defending champion Minnesota Stars into the NASL playoffs as the No. 6 seed in a league that sends six of its eight teams to the postseason. And just like last season when it got hot at the right time and won the inaugural title as the No. 6 seed, Minnesota is back in the final, where it hosts the No. 2 seed Tampa Bay Rowdies in Saturday's first leg.

Manny Lagos' Stars have no player in the starting lineup older than 26. The youngest players are Miguel Ibarra and Amani Walker, who played together at UC Irvine.

The Rowdies feature 38-year-old Takuya Yamada, a former Japanese international, and Carl Cort and Stuart Campbell, who are both 34 and have experience in the English Premier League.
