Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s best-selling autobiography, “Jag är Zlatan Ibrahimovic” (I am Zlatan Ibrahimovic), has been shortlisted in Sweden for a prestigious literary awardcalled The August Prize, AFP reports. The book, which the Paris Saint-Germain striker authored with the help of Swedish journalist David Lagercrantz, is among six finalists selectedto compete for the award. The winner will be announced on November 26.

The autobiography is one of the all-time bestsellers in Sweden, selling more than 500,000 copies in the country since itwas first published in November 2011. It follows the former Inter and AC Milan striker’s tough upbringing in Rosengaard, one of the poorest areas of Malmo, to his rise to fame throughsoccer.

The jury that selected Ibrahimovic’s book described it as “a precise narration that leaves a lasting impression; a sensitive and harsh description that takes the reader from thestands to the field and into Zlatan’s world; slowly and surely a daily life is unveiled, both rough and golden, which opens the doors of the kitchen at Rosengaard to the Milan locker room.”
