Super strikes for Chelsea and Celtic

[VIDEO PICK: Golazos] Defending champion Chelsea won a riveting shootout with Shakhtar Donetsk in London 3-2, while tournament favorite Barcelona lost at a supercharged Celtic Park in Glasgow 2-1, during Champions League play on Wednesday.

Victor Moses’ last-touch winner put Chelsea first in Group E on goal difference, a tie would’ve meant third. Chelsea and Shakhtar have 7 points, Juventus 6, and Nordjsnaelland 1, after Juve’s 4-0 win over FCN. Chelsea is at Juve in two weeks in what looks to be an epic showdown.

Shakhtar’s owner, Rinat Akhmetov, has more money, $16 billion, than his opulent counterpart, Roman Abramovich, worth a reported $12 billion, and his excellent team continued to impress, even in defeat, at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
