Injured Rossi Could Join Inter in January

Reports in Italy claim that Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi, who has suffered two cruciate ligament injuries in the past 18 months and hasn’t played since October 2011, has reached a deal to join Inter Milan. The report, from Panorama.it, claims Rossi could join Inter as soon as January, although his injury is likely to keep him out of action until at least March 2013. As such, the two parties are still haggling over the fee that would release the 25-year-old from his contract, as the severe injury makes signing him a risk. Villarreal, currently languishing in Spain’s Segunda division, is in debt and needs to sell the American-born Italy striker.
