Former World Player of the Year Kaka on Wednesday revealed he would be interested in playing for the New York Red Bulls some day following Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Colombia inEast Rutherford, N.J. The Real Madrid playmaker, who has been linked with a move to the Red Bulls over the past few months, acknowledged his interest in Major League Soccer, but said any move would bein the future.

“Not now, I think. One day, I hope I can play in MLS,” Kaka said. “I don’t think it’s now [though].” Reports suggested the Brazilian would move to New York after the 2014World Cup, which is being hosted in Brazil. Kaka’s younger brother, Digao, joined the Red Bulls earlier this summer.

Kaka, who won the FIFA World Player of the Yearaward in 2007, would be a big draw for MLS and the Red Bulls, Goal.com says. Even though he has struggled since moving to Real Madrid in 2009, his career numbers are impressive: 120 goals and 76assists in 370 appearances for AC Milan and Real.
