Impressive Tijuana in Liga Mexican Semifinals

Club Tijuana continued its march toward the Liga MX title on Sunday, a 1-1 draw with Monterrey enough to advance to the semifinal 2-1 on aggregate. Los Xolos will play Club Leon in its semifinal first-leg away on Thursday with the return at home on Sunday. Tijuana has lost just once in its last 17 games.

Americans Edgar Castillo and Greg Garza both played in the game against Monterrey. Castillo played left back for 90 minutes, while Garza, who scored the winning goal in the first-leg in Monterrey, came on as a sub in the 70th minute to play down the left, too. Joe Corona was an unused sub for Tijuana.
