Best goal in the history of Paraguay?

[VIDEO PICK: Golazo] Javier Portillo's 80-yard rumble around and through multiple defenders in lower division Paraguay play produced one of the most incredible goals we've seen all year.

There are several third divisions in Paraguay based in different cities. Portillo is a midfielder for Teniente Farina and this goal came against Sportivo Guaran in La Caacapuena, a third division in the city of Caacupe.

If this goal had been scored in a league you’d heard of by the likes of Ibrahimovic, Rooney or Ronaldo it would certainly be a strong candidate for goal of the year, as it will undoubtedly remind you of incredible runs by Maradona and Messi in years past.

Portillo’s heroics do make him a strong candidate for our lower division goal of the season, just watch as our Paraguayan protagonist bounces back up, right when it seems like his incredible run is going to be stopped just short.

There's no audio, save perhaps that audible gasp escaping your own mouth ...

Beating 8 players (including a couple beat twice) at any level deserves praise!

I disagree 100%. This goal is nowhere near the likes of Ibra, Rooney, or Cristiano--let alone Messi or Maradona. It's a good run? Yes. It should be praised? Absolutely. But there isn't much style, flair, or finesse to it. I've seen better stuff on the streets.

Two forward rollovers without losing the ball----not bad!
