[NAIA TOURNAMENT] No. 12 Olivet Nazarene knocked off four-time defending national champion Lee in a shootout after their game ended 1-1 to advance to the NAIAwomen’s championship game. It will take on No. 2 Lindsey Wilson in Saturday’s final at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Orange Beach, Ala.

“I’m really proud of the girls,” said OlivetNazarene coach Bill Bahr. “At the beginning of the game, I told them it takes one goal to make an impact on a game. We came out hard and got the goal early on.We lit a fire under Lee and had to weather the storm, but I knew if we’d get to PK’s we could win this game.”

The Tigers took the early lead in the ninth minute mark on Jessica Higer‘s ninth goal of the season. Lee found the equalizer in the 69th minute when Ashley Aragona scored on a chip shotfor her 10th goal of the season.
