The crowd of 30,510 fans for Saturday's final set a Home Depot Center record. MLS Cup 2011 drew a crowd of 30,281. That record was broken when the Galaxy drew 30,317 fans for its friendly against Real Madrid in August.

Donovan's goal gave him 146 career MLS goals -- 124 during the regular season and 22 in the playoffs -- one more than Jaime Moreno scored.

Robbie Keane's goal gave him six in the 2012 playoffs, tied him for second place with Raul Diaz Arce (D.C. United) and Roy Lassiter (Tampa Bay) for the most playoff goals in a season behind Carlos Ruiz's eight goals for the Galaxy in 2002.

Donovan's won his fifth MLS championship, tying him for the most in MLS history along with Jeff Agoos with whom he played on the San Jose Earthquakes' championship teams in 2001 and 2002. Donovan also won with the Galaxy in 2005 and 2011.

    I do not see any comments about Beckham , it being his last game with the Galaxy, I did see Robbie Keane mentioned...(always mixing him with Roy) but, thought may see some news about David's future an his comments about this last game for him....glad to see the attendance high...congrats to both teams for their efforts to be the best....thank you.
