Bluejays shock Huskies with late winner

[CONNECTICUT-CREIGHTON] Christian Blandon's goal with 90 seconds remaining in regulation gave No. 12 seed Creighton a 1-0 win at No. 4 seed Connecticut in front of a sellout crowd of 5,100 fans. The Huskies had a 10-2 edge in shots in the second half but could not score. Creighton (17-3-3) returns to the Men's College Cup in Hoover, Ala., where it will face Indiana in Friday's semifinals.

“Like I said last week, this is a cruel game," said UConn coach Ray Reid. “You’ve got to score more than they do. You can’t rely on this guy next to me [goalie Andre Blake] all the time to pitch a shutout.  If we had more time, with the character of this team, we probably get the goal back.  With a minute and a half, that’s tough. ”
